Jessica Simpsons Wedding
It was on 26th October 2002, that Jessica Simpson got married to her
sweetheart Nick Lachey. The venue for the marriage ceremony was Smith Chapel, a
modest chapel within the precincts of the Riverbend Church in Austin - Texas.
They solemnized their marriage in a Baptist ceremony. Somewhere around 350
guests were present at the wedding ceremony, which was supervised by Jessica’s
friend from early days.
The matrimonial process started rolling after a formal marriage offer was
made aboard a yacht near Hawaii. The duo started making plans for a grand
marriage ceremony. Jessica’s strapless bridal gown was a Vera Wang creation with
a wide train. Nick was attired in smart Hugo Boss tuxedo.
Afterwards, the newly married couple threw a wedding bash at the fashionable
golf and tennis hideaway Barton Creek Resort, situated southwest of Austin. The
significant moments of the party were the rendition of “My Everything” a song
written exclusively for Jessica by Nick. Subsequently Jessica had her friend
sing “My Love”, a song in honor of Nick.
The reality television program “Newlyweds” aired by MTV followed the married
lives of Nick and Jessica. The show, which began in August 2003, ran
successfully for many seasons before winding up in March 2005.
The duo divorced in December 2005, but later in April 2006, Nick publicly
declared his love for Jessica and his intentions for remarrying her. A few days
after this declaration, Jessica was observed sporting her wedding band on a
chain paired with a cross-given to her by Nick. The air is rife with rumors
about their impending patch-up, as these implicative actions are indicative that
there was still some love left between them.
Jessica has penned a book, “I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding”, on ways of
organizing a fascinating and elegant wedding.
